Porsche Tires - Should You Only Get Tires With N Spec Approval?

However, if a tire sustains damage such as a cut, crack, bulge or puncture, the wear on the other tire must not exceed 30%. If it does have more than 30% wear, it too should be replaced. If this is not done, inconsistencies in handling may result which can compromise safety.



Remember too that new tires do not immediately offer their maximum level of grip. A vehicle with new tires should therefore be driven with restraint for the first 60-100 miles. Be aware also that if new tires are fitted to only one axle, the vehicle's handling will become noticeably different due to the contrasting tread depth.



This will be most noticeable if the rear tires are changed. This effect will lessen as the new tires are broken in, that said, drivers should allow for this and drive with particular care during this time.
